Why Rainy Day

Why Bellaire Homeowners Choose Rainy Day

Bellaire’s mature trees and low-lying streets make it beautiful and vulnerable at the same time. Hurricane Harvey damaged more than a third of the city’s homes in 2017, and Hurricane Beryl brought down limbs across Bellaire in 2024. We help homeowners get clear answers and dependable repairs before small problems turn into big ones.

Storm & Tree Damage Checks

After high winds, hail, or a falling limb, we inspect your roof, siding, and windows and document what we find with photos, so you know exactly what you are working with.

Insurance Claim Support

We help Bellaire homeowners understand storm damage and move through the insurance claim process with clear expectations.

Lifetime Workmanship

Roof replacements include lifetime labor and lifetime manufacturer material coverage, giving your home long-term protection that matches its long-term value.

GAF Certified

As a GAF Certified contractor, we can offer the GAF System Plus Warranty on qualifying roof replacements for added coverage.

Bellaire, Texas

Streetcar Roots. City Of Homes.

Bellaire is a 3.6 square mile city in southwest Harris County, surrounded by Houston and West University Place and just minutes from the Galleria and the Texas Medical Center. From classic ranch homes to new two-story builds, Rainy Day Roofing, Siding, & Windows delivers storm-ready protection built for Texas weather.

From Rice Ranch To Bellaire

Railroad executive William Wright Baldwin founded Bellaire in 1908 on part of the former ranch of William Marsh Rice. A streetcar known as the Toonerville Trolley linked Bellaire to Houston from 1910 to 1927, and on June 24, 1918, about 200 residents incorporated the city, which kept it independent as Houston grew around it.

Bellaire Today

Bellaire boomed after World War II and has since seen many original homes replaced by larger new construction. The 2020 census counted 17,202 residents, and a restored streetcar still sits along Bellaire Boulevard as a reminder of where it all started.

Bellaire Home Improvement FAQs

Answers to common questions from homeowners considering roofing, siding, or window work in Bellaire.

Do I need a permit to replace my roof in Bellaire?

Yes. The City of Bellaire requires a permit for roofing work inside city limits. We pull the permit, schedule any required inspections, and confirm the details for your address before work begins.

How do Bellaire’s big trees affect my roof?

Mature oaks and pecans shade Bellaire roofs, which keeps moisture on the shingles longer and drops leaves into valleys and gutters. Overhanging limbs can also scrape or puncture a roof in high winds.

Does Bellaire get much storm damage?

Yes. Spring hail, summer thunderstorms, and tropical systems all reach Bellaire, and Hurricane Beryl in 2024 brought down trees and limbs across the city.

If a storm comes through, we can inspect your roof, document any damage with photos, and help you decide whether an insurance claim makes sense.

How much is a roof in Bellaire?

Bellaire has everything from one-story ranch homes to large two-story custom builds with steep, complex rooflines, and roof size, pitch, and material all affect the price.

Our instant roof estimate gives you a price for your specific home in seconds, and an in-person inspection confirms every detail before you commit.

What roofing works best on Bellaire’s newer custom homes?

Many newer Bellaire homes use architectural or designer shingles, and some feature metal accents. We install GAF systems and can match the style and color you want while meeting city requirements.

Do you serve all of Bellaire?

Yes. We serve every Bellaire neighborhood, plus nearby West University Place, Meyerland, Braeswood, and Southside Place.
